Established in 2003 The restaurant before Ink was a dark, stuffy, fine dining restaurant with not a lot of action so we opened Ink which is the complete antithesis of dark and stuffy. Ink opened in May of 2003 with a lot of sceptics because of our funcky, virbrant atmosphere and late night hours, something very new to Sacramento. We quickly became a hit with Sacramentans and our peers because of our approachable yet inspired menu, great prices and down to earth, attentive service. We were the first to bring Sliders to sacramento and since then others have eagerly imitated. But as they say, "imitation is the sincerest form of flatterery". So far we have been far more successful than our two restaurant predecessors but we think that the grocery stores that used to be in our very building in the early to mid 1900's held their own. less
